Open Home Log
After six inspections they blur into one. Log each place as you leave and compare them properly instead of from memory.
Log a property
Do it in the car before you drive off, while it's fresh. Sixty seconds each.
This log lives in your browser, so it stays on this device and disappears if you clear your browsing data. Print it before an auction, or take it to your broker.
Why bother
By the fourth or fifth inspection people genuinely cannot remember which house had the good kitchen and which one backed onto the main road. So they end up choosing the one they saw most recently, or the one with the nicest photos.
Scoring each place while you are still standing outside it fixes that. It also shows you something useful about yourself: after ten entries you will see what you actually keep rating highly, which is often not what you told yourself you wanted.
Take it with you
Print the log before an auction and put your walk-away number at the top. It is much harder to talk yourself past a number you wrote down in daylight.
